Plastov Summer description

The painting was painted in 1954.

The painting depicts a genre scene in the forest. Grandmother and granddaughter are resting in a green meadow after going mushroom picking. They sat down in the shade near two birch trees. The adult woman was very tired and decided to lie down and take a nap in the fresh air, to the sound of leaves and the chirping of grasshoppers. The girl is still very young and full of strength. Mushroom picking is not such a difficult task for her. So she continues to collect berries in a metal mug.

A dog lies next to the girl. It’s a hot sunny day outside, so the dog, which has been running for half a day, also starts to fall asleep. The intoxicating smells of field herbs and flowers lead them into calm bliss.

Next to the mushroom pickers there are two full baskets. The trip turned out to be successful. A larger white basket and a smaller dark basket are filled to the top with mushrooms. The mushroom pickers have completed their hike and are preparing to go back home. But before returning to the village, they decided to rest a little and refresh themselves. Next to them is a jug, which, apparently, contained water or other drink.

The dress on the old woman is dark blue, but the girl in the picture looks like a ray of light, like the most beautiful flower in this clearing. She stands out clearly from the entire environment, and it immediately becomes clear that Arkady Plastov made the girl the main character of the picture. She is wearing a long white sundress and a red scarf. Her facial expression is concentrated. It may seem that the girl is sad while picking berries from a branch, but in fact she is also resting and trying not to wake up her grandmother, who needs sleep to gain strength. Perhaps at this moment she dreams of quickly returning home to the village, meeting her girlfriends and doing her usual childhood games.

The picture is very atmospheric. Arkady Plastov amazingly conveyed the peace and quiet of a sunny summer day, where villagers relax under the shade of birches. The artist paid great attention to every detail in the painting. In the background there is a dark strip of forest. It is there that these wonderful and tasty mushrooms grow, two baskets of which now stand next to the vacationers. A green flowering meadow is brightly illuminated by the blinding sun. It is cool and fresh in the shade of the birches. A woman and a girl can relieve fatigue here and take a break from the scorching heat.

Country summer on the canvas of Arkady Aleksandrovich Plastov

In front of me is a painting by the wonderful Russian artist Arkady Aleksandrovich Plastov “In Summer”. Summer is a wonderful time, which gives us not only good sunny weather, but also whole baskets of berries, fruits and mushrooms! The artist just depicted two collectors of forest gifts on his canvas. Both travelers were very tired from walking and the hot sun. I see them in moments of rest. In the foreground of the painting, the artist depicted a girl in a white dress; red scarf and berry beads. The girl's feet are not wearing shoes. Apparently, she was used to running around everywhere barefoot and not at all afraid of branches and prickly cones. A dog lies next to her. The girl separates the berries from the twigs and leaves and puts them in a mug. And in the background of the picture I see a resting grandmother in a blue dress and scarf. She was probably tired from picking berries and mushrooms, so she lay down in the shade. Behind the people, grass and flowers, slender birch trees and an old stump, illuminated by the bright sun. Behind this sunny clearing stands a dense dark forest. In the sun, the grass is a light salad color, and the flowers are multi-colored: yellow, pink and purple. After I looked at the picture for a long time, it was as if I was suffused with the summer heat, the pleasant smell of herbs and sweet strawberries. I liked Plastov’s painting because the artist depicted the beauty of our land. Sometimes we don’t notice the beauty that surrounds us; paintings by artists help us see it. This is a canvas of peace and joy, it well conveys the beauty and generosity of summer nature.

Lots and lots of sunshine and bright, joyful colors - this is the first impression of A.A.’s painting. Plastov "Summer". The master of Russian painting did not just depict an ordinary episode from the life of rural residents, he saw in it a special beauty and poetry, which he skillfully and lovingly conveyed to the viewer.

A fine summer day is in full swing. A woman and her daughter sat under the shade of birch trees, tired after picking mushrooms and berries. On the way home they decided to rest a little. Although the sun is still high, their basket and bucket are already filled to the brim with mushrooms, and their heavy jug is full of berries.

The woman lies down on the grass, shielding herself from the sun with her hand, and the girl sits with her bare legs stretched out. The girl's face is concentrated - she is sorting through the berries. A simple village dog has comfortably settled down and is dozing at her feet - it is clear that he, too, has run around and is tired. Beautiful birch trees invite you to relax in their shade. Their leaves shimmer beautifully in the rays of the summer sun. The thick grass behind the trees sparkles in the sun.

Bright blue bells, daisies and other meadow flowers mingle with the thick grass. The picture exudes peace, quiet, calm joy. The artist managed to create such a mood thanks to bright, rich colors. This is the green grass, and the variety of colors of flowers, and the bright red scarf tied on the girl’s head, and the woman’s blue clothes.

The picture seemed to contain all the colors of summer - a wonderful time when nature shows itself in all its glory. Admiring this work of painting, you admire the beauty of Russian nature, these elegant birch trees and flowers. I want to be close to these simple villagers, breathe in the air infused with the aromas of herbs, feel the sweet smell of wild berries and, feeling pleasantly tired, bask in the rays of the sun.

Essay based on the painting “In Summer” by A.A. Plastov.

  • Plan:
  • 1. Introduction.
  • 2. Description of the grandmother in the picture.
  • 3. Little helper.
  • 4. Rich harvest.
  • 5. Conclusions.

Warm sunny summer. White birch trees dressed in bright greenery, thick lush grass and a lot of light. This is what first attracts attention in the painting “In Summer”. This picture was painted by the artist Plastov. It is immediately obvious that he truly knew and loved nature. Everything is so beautiful and real. The viewer seems to be wafted by the delicious smell of herbs and berries and the sleepy peace of a hot day.

What else is depicted on the canvas? Description of the painting “In Summer” by Plastov can take a lot of time. There are as many as three heroes drawn on it. This is a girl with her grandmother and a dog. They probably went to the forest to pick mushrooms and berries. And on the way back they got tired and sat down to rest right on the grass. Grandma is fast asleep. She is wearing a blue dress and the same scarf. Her most striking element is the hand with which her grandmother shielded herself from the sun. You can see how big, dark and tired she is. Looking at such a hand, you can understand that the person has worked all his life.

My granddaughter, I think, will grow up to be the same hard worker. And now, while her grandmother is sleeping, the girl is intently plucking berries from a branch into a large blue mug. The little assistant's serious face shows that she enjoys this job. The girl is dressed in a light white dress and decorated with beads. And she has a red scarf tied on her head. White, red and blue colors look very nice together. Therefore, the girl immediately attracts the viewer’s attention.

A small dog lies next to the grandmother and granddaughter. She ran through the forest and is now sleeping sweetly, cuddled up to her mistresses. She has a very funny face, which she turned directly to the audience. I think she is her little owner's favorite.

The picture also shows baskets of mushrooms and a jug of berries. They occupy almost half of the canvas. What a rich harvest the girl and her grandmother are bringing from the forest! The mushrooms are large, bright, and the berries are juicy and ripe. You immediately understand what wealth nature can give.

While I was writing an essay on the painting “In Summer” by Plastov, I thought about how peaceful and happy peasant life could be. We often do not notice the beauty of the world around us. But a happy life can come from little things. For example, a hike with loved ones in the forest, picking delicious berries with your own hands, relaxing in the shade. I think this is what the artist wanted to show with his painting.

Description of Plastov’s painting “In Summer”

Summer is the favorite time of year for many of us. This is a time of relaxation, new experiences, new discoveries. In the painting “In Summer,” the artist showed a sultry summer day. Two people are resting under the birch trees. Apparently, this is a mother and daughter. They picked up baskets full of mushrooms and sat down in the shade to rest. The girl is shown wearing a white dress and a red scarf. The girl is sitting on the grass, next to the basket. She was very tired from walking for a long time. But even during rest, she does not waste time, but tears off branches from the berries and throws them into a mug, which is on her knees.

There is a dog lying next to the girl. The day turned out to be hot, and the dog was also tired, he lowered his head to his paws. On the other side of the girl, her mother is sleeping. She is wearing a blue dress and a scarf, and uses it to protect herself from insects. The woman’s hand is raised up and we see that she is tanned and strong. The hand of a woman who works very hard, working either in the field or in the garden.

Behind the tired travelers is a clearing. It is all illuminated by the bright sun. The artist used the brightest, most saturated colors to show viewers the beauty of Russian nature and the magnificent forest. The leaves of the birch tree, near which mother and daughter are sitting, rustle in the wind; they become even more beautiful from the sun. The grass seems literally silky.

The artist also painted yellow and cornflower blue flowers, which perfectly complement the landscape. Summer nature is generous with gifts. One has only to bow to her and you can pick a lot of mushrooms and berries. Next to the characters in the picture there is a jug of water or milk, which mother and daughter drink when it gets really hot. When I look at this picture, I involuntarily remember hot summer days, holidays in the village with my grandmother, I smell the grass heated by the sun's rays, the smell of freshly picked berries and the gentle breeze of the wind. I really want to be in such a picturesque clearing at that very moment, enjoying all the delights of a sultry summer. I especially miss it when I return to the city after the holidays.

Arkady Plastov is considered the most picturesque artist who beautifully depicted nature. Many of his paintings show the beauty of his homeland, so Russian villages and fields are especially delightful in the depiction of this master of painting. Arkady Aleksandrovich chose simple subjects for his canvases, which called for love and admiration for everything that is nearby, that we do not notice behind everyday life and a certain simplicity.

But all this: fields, forests, lakes, and rivers have a special charm and incredible and amazing beauty that enchants and bewitches. The artist Arkady Plastov tried in his paintings to stop for a moment and look around to see that even the most ordinary summer day can be beautiful and delightful.

One of Arkady Plastov’s paintings is dedicated to a hot and sultry summer day, when usually people in cities prefer to be in cool rooms. But in rural areas, this time is the best time to pick berries, which can be dried and made into jam for the winter. Summer has always been considered the most generous time, when berries and mushrooms ripen, for which you should go to the forest and work a little to collect them.

Arkady Aleksandrovich decided to capture such a wonderful moment of picking berries and mushrooms in his magnificent canvas. The central place in the picture is occupied by people who went out to pick mushrooms and berries early in the morning, but then midday came and they found a small clearing where several birch trees grew so that they could rest a little under them. It is clear that people are very tired of wandering through the forest, collecting generous forest gifts. Therefore, as soon as they sat down and had a little lunch, the grandmother immediately fell asleep. She lies in the clearing next to her granddaughter.

The grandmother is wearing a long blue skirt and a blouse of the same dark blue color, but it has long sleeves. Most likely, a long-sleeved jacket is needed to provide protection from the scorching rays of the sun, and from branches that can scratch your hands, and from midges, which are usually always plentiful in the forest, where on even the hottest day there are always a lot of them in the forest. dark and cool thicket. The long sleeves of an elderly woman's blouse are fastened with a small button. A dark-colored scarf is neatly tied on the grandmother’s head.

While the grandmother is sleeping, her granddaughter sits quietly next to her and picks berries into a small blue mug. The girl is wearing a long, light, light dress, which, like the elderly woman, has long sleeves. The granddaughter is happy with how the walk through the forest went, although she was also a little tired, but they picked a lot of berries and mushrooms. The girl has a red scarf neatly tied on her head. But in Arkady Plastov’s painting there is another hero - this is a dog, a faithful companion and protector of the girl, who always protects her.

So today he also tagged along with his mistress, and the faithful dog also walked through the forest all day, trying to protect her from any danger. But even now the red mongrel dog lies calm and rests. The dog's eyes are open, and she carefully watches how grasshoppers jump and jump in the tall and lush grass. The color of the grass is emerald, it seems as if it is a soft carpet on which it is so comfortable to rest. The shadow of the birch trees, which stand separately, falls on the soft and calm grass. Green and rich foliage bent low over the mushroom pickers, shielding them from the hot rays of the sun.

Next to the people there are two large baskets containing a lot of mushrooms. All mushrooms are large, but different. Porcini mushrooms were collected in a wide basket, and mushroom pickers put all the other mushrooms in a small black basket. Berries are collected in a large clay jug, which are then warmed in warm weather, when the granddaughter and grandmother drink tea with delicious jam. The jug with the image has a handle, curved and round. Carrying such a jug is inconvenient, but you can put a lot of berries in it.

There is a dense and green forest in the background. The author of the picture depicted it in the distance and not very clearly, to show how big it is and that in its thickets it can be very scary. Arkady Aleksandrovich uses a light color scheme for the image, and only the forest in the distance introduces dark shades of colors to show that it is very different from the rest of the welcoming landscape. The picturesque and beautiful landscape of Plastov pleases and inspires you to also go into the forest, pick berries and mushrooms.

The painting by Arkady Plastov depicts the hot summer season, which always gives a wonderful and good mood. The artist magnificently and quite fully depicted all the beauty of Russian nature. Unfortunately, a person does not always notice what surrounds him, although the Russian land is always beautiful and generous, allowing him to enjoy every day. A person just needs to see all this, at least through the eyes of an artist who was able to so successfully convey everything, even joy and tranquility.

Plastova. In summer, especially in the second half, there are a lot of mushrooms and berries. The artist depicted these gifts of the forest, but not only them, on his canvas. Art lovers can find out more about the painting “In Summer”, about the author’s work, and his biography right now.
