Essay based on Grabar's painting February Blue, grade 5

Essay on Grabar's painting February Blue for 5th grade

Igor Grabar is known for his landscape paintings, which depict views of Russian nature. The artist depicted nature in a special way, as he sees it.

The artist Igor Grabar’s painting “February Azure” depicts a winter landscape. A birch tree is depicted in the foreground of the picture. The artist looks at her as if from below, lying on the ground. This makes the shape of the birch tree and its branches look somehow unreal, fantastic.

The colors in the painting are amazing. Although a February day is depicted, there is little white in the picture - the color of snow. More bright spring flowers. The artist conveys that winter will soon end and spring will come to replace it. The blue color in the painting has many shades. The artist uses light green, almost blue, and ultramarine to color the winter sky. The impression is that the colors resonate with each other and combine into fantastic music. Lilac snow, azure sky, pearl birch - all the fantastic shades of blue merge and transform into each other, creating some kind of festive mood.

In the background of the picture there is a forest, which is painted with the same charming colors.

I liked the picture for its mystery. The shape of the tree attracts the eye. The birch tree in the picture is different in that you look at it from the ground itself. An unusual look at the tree, its huge spreading branches stand out against the blue sky. The impression that the birch tree is bending over you, wants to cover you with its crown.

When you look at a painting for a long time, your mood lifts. I want to find myself near this fantastic birch tree, hug it, stroke the lumpy bark of the tree. It’s not for nothing that the artist Igor Grabar was called “the poet of Russian winter.”

Essay on the painting “February Azure” (I.E. Grabar) for 5th grade

(Option 2)

The painting “February Blue” by the talented artist I. E. Grabar depicts amazing nature. There are no houses here. Only trees covered with fabulous frost.

Although the day is clear and sunny, the frosts have not yet subsided. The sky is light and clear, but from above it is dark blue. Most likely, for this reason the canvas is called “February Blue”. Only in the distance, where the forest appears, the sky is quite a bit lighter. In spring, when the sun shines brighter, the sky will turn blue.

In this beautiful picture we have a view of a huge birch grove. The birches here are different. There are strong and tall trees that are already many years old, and there are also very young trees. They have a snow-white and thinner trunk. Dry foliage is visible on many birch trees. Apparently, frost struck at the end of autumn, and it did not have time to crumble.

In the center is the largest birch tree. It has a luxuriously curved trunk and a dense crown. It feels like she's posing for us. The thick branches of the birch tree are dusted with frost, which sparkles in the sun. For this reason, they begin to appear to shine.

The painter wanted to show us that trees can be beautiful and decorated not only in the summer, when they have green foliage, or in the autumn, when they are in golden decoration. But also in the winter season our nature is unusually good.

The canvas fascinates with its magic. There is a desire to be in this winter fairy tale.

Second essay based on Grabar’s painting February Blue

February is an amazing month, which becomes the final chord of an evil and insatiable winter. On some days, winter intimidates passersby with frosts and blizzards, and on other days, winter pampers with sunny weather and beautiful landscapes.

Grabar gave us an amazing picture on his canvas, which has a poetic name - “February Azure”. A birch tree is brought to the foreground, which is covered with a thin layer of frost. It shimmers and shines, so it seems that the tree has acquired amber beads. Behind us we see birch trees, which are in no way inferior to their friend, who slid forward. They show that they are also worthy of attention, as their outfits are no less luxurious. All the birches are depicted against the background of a snow-white blanket, which was woven by the old woman herself, winter. She takes her time cleaning it up, as if she wants to linger a little.

Above, above the birch grove, the clear sky spreads out, inviting and kind. It exudes coolness and cleanliness, so you can feel a light breeze and the fresh aroma of spring.

This canvas exudes freshness and purity, which seems stunning against the backdrop of modern television. I would like to breathe in the freshness of a frosty sunny day in reality, admire the snowy outfits of birches, but for now all that remains is to admire the artist’s skill.

Essay on the painting “February Azure” 4th grade

Option 1

This picture shows how fleeting winter is. Deep fluffy snow, which seems to have just fallen, is already visible through the dark thawed patches of the earth.

Birches are depicted impatiently awaiting the arrival of warm spring days. The birch tree in the foreground seems to be akimbo on one side - so impatiently it looks out for the arrival of spring in the azure blue.

The artist very colorfully depicted this February azure sky, which tells us that warm days are about to come and all nature will quickly begin to change clothes, changing their snow-white outfits into bright green ones.

Option 2

In the picture we see a birch grove buried in snow. But it is immediately clear that this will not last long.

The azure sky foreshadows the imminent arrival of spring with its elegant green colors.

In the meantime, the birch trees can only stand silently, waiting. In the foreground, the birch tree seemed to have bent one knee and leaned slightly to one side.

It seems like she just ran away from her girlfriends, standing in a friendly group in the background of the picture. It was as if she was the first to notice signs of approaching warmth in this February sky and wanted to be the first to welcome spring.

The sun drops its generous rays on the trees, warming everything around. Although the picture depicts the month of February, it is already obvious that this is its triumphant completion.

Only snow and bare tree trunks indicate winter. But the sky itself is already spring.

Essay No. 3

There are days in February when the air and everything around is filled with some kind of blue glow. Blue sky, blue snow - everything is painted in this amazingly beautiful color. This is exactly the day that Igor Emmanuilovich Grabar, one of the most famous Russian landscape artists of the 20th century, depicted in his painting “February Azure”. Its landscapes amaze with their beauty, freshness and brightness of colors.

But such a combination of colors as in the painting “February Blue” is perhaps not found in any of his canvases. The artist himself recalls that on one February day he admired the birches. Having accidentally dropped her bag, I.E. The Grabar bent down to pick it up. He looked at the sky from below and was delighted with its color. Igor Emmanuilovich immediately began work, and two weeks later the picture was ready.

In its foreground is a beautiful birch tree. Its trunk is slightly curved, as if the birch tree is exposing its sides to the gentle sun. Her friends were located a little further away from her. Their branches glow bright white in the sunlight. The artist managed to create exactly a luminous white color in the painting. The branches of birch trees form a bizarre pattern, through which the amazingly beautiful azure sky appears. It seems so deep up there. Against the background of the azure sky, last year's foliage that survived on the tops of the birches seems fiery golden.

Closer to the horizon the sky brightens. Near the ground it merges with the same azure snow, only slightly paler than the sky. If it were not for the forest, which is visible in the distance, on the horizon, then the sky and earth would merge into one space, not separated by anything. From the bright sunlight, the snow also shines blue. Where the shadows from the trees lie, the snow appears dark blue. Its shades are in harmony with the blue of the sky, which seems like some kind of bright flash on the horizon.

And there is so much light in the picture that it blinds your eyes, as if you were looking not at the picture, but at the sparkling snow shining on a clear February morning.

Essay based on the painting “February Azure” by Igor Grabar

February is usually characterized by snowstorms, strong winds and frosts. The very precise name of this month in the Belarusian language is fierce.

But it happens that this month seems to soften its fierceness, relax, and then wonderful sunny days come.

One of these days was depicted by the artist Igor Grabar in the painting “February Azure”.

Azure (azure) is a soft blue color. The entire canvas is filled with it. The genre of the painting is landscape. It is made in nature, in the style of impressionism.

Artists of this movement strive to convey on canvas the changing states of nature and their fleeting impressions (impressionism translated from French means “impression”).

A sunny February day is filled with a blue glow. This radiance is everywhere: in the cloudless azure sky, in the quivering air shining through the branches of birches, and on the snow. Under the sun, the snow sparkles and shimmers. The shadows from the birches are darker, with a purple tint.

In the foreground of the picture is a tall birch tree with a curved trunk. Dark at the bottom, the trunk becomes lighter at the top, illuminated by bright light. This light is so bright that it blinds the eyes. The snow-white branches of the birch are spread wide, and this azure light also pours through them.

Many young birch trees stand behind the old birch, their branches create a whimsical airy lace.

The snow is quite deep, even the edge of the earth is not visible, which makes it seem as if the trees are located on a white blanket specially prepared for them, sparkling under the rays of the sun. And the bluish shadows of the birches set off the whiteness of the snow.

In some places the old foliage is still preserved on the birch trees, and under the rays of the sun it appears reddish.

Some call this painting by Igor Grabar a “portrait of a birch” because he placed it in the center of the canvas. We can only partially agree with this, since the main thing in the picture is the shining azure of the sky, air and snow. This idea is expressed in the title of the painting.

The painting “February Azure” is very realistic. Looking at the canvas, you feel the freshness of the slightly frosty air and the gentle touch of the rays of the winter sun - after all, spring is coming! It seems that you can even hear the gentle ringing of icy branches, although the weather is calm. It's like you're in a fairy tale.

Yes, this really is a fairy tale - a Russian winter landscape with birches. Birch is a symbol of Russia. How many poems and songs have been written about her! There are so many affectionate epithets for the birch: curly, slender, thin, white, elegant, cheerful, sweet...

The painting “February Blue” is filled with light and a premonition of the imminent awakening of nature.
