A feat usually refers to all sorts of heroic deeds, when, for example, a soldier in a war sacrifices his life for the sake of victory or the salvation of his fellow soldiers. This is, of course, a feat, but in the highest degree of its manifestation. The very concept of feat is much broader, and is primarily based on a person’s ability to sacrifice; one who knows how to sacrifice is capable of feat, and sacrifice is a manifestation of love. That is, a person capable of sincere true love is also capable of a feat, not necessarily a great one.
There are different feats, first of all, these are feats that are performed under special circumstances, for example, during war, military conflicts, or any disasters. These are heroic deeds, in this case, the people who perform them are driven by a feeling of love for the Motherland, for their people, their family and simply for their neighbors and people around them. Examples of heroic deeds are stories about participants and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, or any other war. For example, the people who survived the Siege of Leningrad, and those who defended the city, all accomplished a feat.
In addition to the heroic feat, there is another type of it, namely the everyday feat, it is not so noticeable to others, and most likely, no one will praise the person who performs it; this is a feat that often does not have rewards and glory. By performing small daily feats, a person does not need to sacrifice his life, but there is also a place for sacrifice here. A person can give his time, money, health, or go against his desires to accomplish them. Examples of daily feats include the life of a mother who, regardless of whether she wants it or not, whether she has the strength and health, takes care of her family and her children continuously. She has to work, clean the house, cook and do a lot of other routine work, she doesn't say that she is tired, she knows that she has to do it. A mother can give up everything, say that she is tired, that she wants to rest, but she overpowers her desires and does not do this, so, of course, every mother performs small feats every day.
In addition to this, one more type of feat can be distinguished - this is a spiritual feat. People canonized by the Church as saints or martyrs were those who performed this type of feat for faith and love of God. Martyrs are those who accepted death for the name of Christ during periods of persecution of Christianity and the Church; they refused betrayal, knowing that they would be killed, thereby performing a spiritual feat. Not all holy people were killed for their faith, but their daily prayer work and helping people are also feats. An example is the story of Saint Panteleimon the Healer. On the orders of the pagan king, he was mocked in prison, they beat him, they tried to drown him and burn him at the stake, but he still did not renounce his faith. And he continued to preach.
A feat is a very broad concept, which has a place in everyday life, to accomplish it you don’t have to be big and strong, you can be a child, a sick or weak person, but at the same time have a great soul and love, and at the right moment you will capable of feat.
Essay What is a feat
Every person's life consists of a series of joyful moments or disappointments. But sometimes events occur among them that we can safely regard as exploits. They usually can have both dramatic content and a happy ending.
The concept of “feat” can be classified as an act in which there is no place for hypocrisy or spinelessness of people. In cases where a person commits such actions, we are talking about the presence in the character of willpower, courage, boldness in decision making, and genuine goodwill. Without sincere, good feelings in the soul, a person cannot take a serious step - to save the life of another person. That is why all the feats that humanity knows about are a manifestation of courage, a sincere desire not to remain aloof from the misfortune of others, not to be indifferent to the misfortune of those around them.
The literature of different countries describes a huge number of heroic deeds that have become known throughout the world, and in our lives there are also examples that are known only to a few people in the circle of relatives and friends.
The work of Samuil Yakovlevich Marshak “The Story of an Unknown Hero”, dedicated to a man whose name remains unknown, demonstrates the real feat of the main character. Without thinking about his own safety, he sacrificed his life to save another person. So, he fulfilled his duty as a firefighter, and as a real brave man, capable of compassion and mercy.
In addition, people, regardless of age or position, also show courage every day, performing decisive actions that are important and are called feats.
Thus, a person who, in difficult conditions, performs saving actions, at the first call of his heart, fearlessly moves forward, without thinking about reward, is worthy of respect. He commits a selfless act, which is equivalent to a feat.
An interesting fact worthy of respect is that not only the adult generation remains attached to such actions, but also children and animals. The desire to move towards a goal in order to protect another person from harm highly raises the authority of the savior, turning his actions into real feats.
“What is a feat”: essay
It is best to start a discussion about feats with problematic questions about why feats are performed.
We need to define the feat and move on to talking about difficult trials for the country and society. It should be noted that turning points help a person understand why he lives, what is more in him: courage or fear, the will to win or slavish obedience.
Quotes (what is this?) about the feat enhance the expressiveness of the introduction They can be viewed here: https://quote-citation.com/topic/podvig

We cannot do without historical examples . It is not necessary to write about Suvorov, Kutuzov or Zhukov.
Feats were and are being accomplished by the most ordinary people - Tolkien’s great trilogy “The Lord of the Rings” was written about this. The writer made the main character a little furry man - the hobbit Frodo, showing that even the most inconspicuous, the most ordinary of us can save the world.
By the way, the trilogy was written during the Second World War. Through the hazy veil of evil, Tolkien saw the light that awaits those who find the strength to survive.
The theme of the Great Patriotic War is close to every person. If your family has stories from the lives of grandfathers and great-grandfathers who took part in the war, it would be appropriate to remember them in your essay.
Option #3
If earlier people could accomplish a feat just like that, today the material part is more important than the human part. And not every person will decide on this very feat, because he sacrifices himself. And even today, feats are not accomplished, and therefore they are forgotten and this concept becomes unfamiliar to many.
As for the younger generation, they are more subject to the influence of the majority and if they do not show any qualities, then they, looking at them, do and act in exactly the same way.
For me, rescuers, firefighters, police officers and soldiers perform feats. They sometimes risk their lives to save another. And if people do not perform feats, then a very difficult fate awaits us in the future.
In order to accomplish a feat, you don’t need to prepare in advance, because you never know what awaits you behind a closed door. Everything happens spontaneously and unexpectedly. But in emergency situations, each person behaves differently.
Many associate the feat with the manifestation of courage and courage. Probably, every person has his own fears, which sometimes can be very difficult for him to survive and overcome, but there comes a moment when a feat must be accomplished, no matter what. But at the same time, the person perfectly understands and realizes what he is doing and why he is doing all this. And still it moves forward. That is why a rash act cannot be called a feat.
The feat is accomplished against the backdrop of many obstacles and obstacles that await a person. But if all this is missing, then it cannot be called a feat. Many rich people consider it a real feat if they donate most of the money from their budget to some foundation or orphanage.
Also, do not forget that behind the feat there is not one person, but many. Now, if someone saved a small child from a burning house, this would be considered a real feat.
The most important thing is that this feat carries with it positive aspects, and in no case negative ones. If a soldier saved his comrades, then this will be considered a feat, but if he saved the enemy, then no longer.
Usually many people remember about the feat, but there are also those who forget about them and never remember them again. If a feat is accomplished for the sake of protecting the homeland, then this feat is carried through generations, telling about it not only to children, but also to grandchildren. According to this feat, each person can decide for himself whether he can accomplish this feat or repeat it? There are also those who, after watching or hearing about a feat, begin to perform simple good deeds, which are also considered small feats.
Not up to heroism
But American scientists need a scientific version. If the heroes took risks unconsciously, then maybe the reason is the altruism gene? Its discovery is periodically reported by different scientific groups. However, opponents object: there is no single gene for altruism, just as there is no gene for happiness, intelligence, fear, etc. Entire gene ensembles are responsible for this. They are yet to be discovered.
“When ants die saving an anthill, this is not altruism, not morality, but species behavior, a reflex to preserve the gene pool,” says Marina Egorova, professor of the Faculty of Psychology at Moscow State University. — In humans, this is inherent at the level of instinct. He first of all saves his relatives and only then other people. Saves his genes to preserve his offspring.
According to Egorova, a number of studies have shown that humans have a predisposition to heroic behavior. The reason is most likely that man is social by nature. Living constantly in a group, we are forced to help others, expecting that our participation will not go unanswered. That is, helping others becomes our habit. And in an emergency situation, a person can act reflexively, saving someone else’s life, risking his own. This is unconscious heroism. In fact, the prize winners who were studied by American scientists spoke about him.
However, they especially emphasize that they in no way claim to be the truth, and that their conclusions must be double-checked many times. Much depends on specific people, on the situation in which they showed heroism, on what they clearly remember. And then the results may be the opposite. But the very attempt to understand the nature of heroism deserves attention.

Can heroism be conscious? The song says, “when the country orders, anyone becomes a hero.” But anyone? Scientists from different countries have conducted many studies and named a list of incentives to accomplish a feat. They are quite obvious: love for the Motherland, hatred of the enemy, a sense of military duty, camaraderie, mutual assistance, fear of contempt from comrades, the desire to distinguish oneself, to receive a reward. Each of them can, in principle, move a person to a heroic act. It all depends on the situation.
It seems that there really is always room for heroic deeds. But on the other hand, according to American experts, about 90 percent of military personnel experience fear in battle in an obvious form, often purely physiological: nausea, vomiting, etc. And studies by Russian, American, German and French specialists show that, in fact, a maximum of 25 percent of soldiers fight: they conduct aimed fire, deliberately move on the battlefield, etc. The rest are active only when in sight of the commander. If he is not there, they hide in a safe place, imitate equipment failure, mental or physical trauma, and “escort” wounded colleagues to the rear.
Of course, all the armies of the world would like to have ideal soldiers, but man is very unpredictable. Therefore, today scientists are faced with the task of creating an absolute hero, always ready for any feat. This is a robot soldier. And orders and medals for his exploits will be received at headquarters by operators who pull the triggers and triggers of weapons. In such a war, there is room for heroism for anyone.
Essay 4
In my opinion, a feat is an outstanding, highly moral act, for the sake of which a person sacrifices himself for the benefit of others.
Everyone who performs a feat, putting his life at risk, does it selflessly, based on internal motives. He does not demand anything in return, he follows the dictates of his heart. The desire to perform a noble deed drowns out a person’s feeling of fear, putting the strength of his spirit in the first place. Such people are said to be heroes.
Speaking of exploits, wartime immediately comes to mind, when every day millions of soldiers went to battle for a common cause, showing their heroism, because it was a matter of their honor and duty, first of all, to the Motherland. Such an example is the young lieutenant from Boris Vasiliev’s work “Not on the Lists.” Pluzhnikov proved himself to be a real hero, defending the Brest Fortress from the Nazis. Having lost his comrades, he did not lose heart, but continued to fight the enemy. After the lieutenant was captured, German soldiers took off their caps in front of him, amazed at the soldier’s fortitude.
The desire to help one’s neighbor free of charge is formed in a person from early childhood and pursues him throughout his life. Such people were taught from an early age to control their emotions, remain cool-headed, be bold, courageous and remain calm in any situation.
There are many heroes in our time, among whom are not only people whose duty is to save human lives, but also ordinary citizens who do not remain indifferent to the misfortune of others. Every day you can hear about different incidents where one person risks his life to save a complete stranger. Many of these brave souls wish to remain anonymous, believing that there is nothing heroic in their actions and that everyone would do the same. As in Marshak’s famous children’s poem about an unknown hero, where a young guy saved a girl from a fire and wished to remain anonymous. No one even really remembered what he looked like. The whole city was looking for a savior to express gratitude, but to no avail.
A feat is not an easy act. Such people should be proud, respected and appreciated. Books are written about brave daredevils, films are made, plays are staged, and this is right, this is a good example to the people that you cannot be alone and not offer a helping hand when someone needs it. Only through sincere and kind deeds can humanity make this world a better place, stop wars and live in complete prosperity without disagreement.
As one philosopher said, “A hero is a person who, at a decisive moment, does what needs to be done in the interests of human society.”
What is a feat
We constantly hear about feats and people who perform these feats. When describing historical events, especially wars, the heroic deeds of individuals or an entire nation are often mentioned. But what is a feat? What action can be considered a feat?
A feat is a selfless and important act, committed voluntarily in difficult, dangerous conditions. It is worth noting several important criteria for the feat. Firstly, when performing a feat, a person risks or sacrifices something. This may concern physical health, position in society, or one's own life. Secondly, the feat is always performed voluntarily and without expectation of material gain. Thirdly, the feat has a certain meaning for others. These criteria define the concept of feat, separating it from other actions. For example, many examples of heroism and accomplished feats date back to the times of the Great Patriotic War. However, not every person who went through a war is a hero who accomplished a feat. For example, General Vlasov served faithfully for a long time in the Red Army. But the war showed that his only thought was to build a career and gain a high position in society. He turned out to be unable to make any sacrifices, having been captured by the Germans, he immediately went over to their side. At the same time, another person who fought in the ranks of the Red Army, Alexander Matrosov, turned out to be completely different. In 1943, during a battle with the Germans, in order to save his comrades, Alexander covered the embrasure from which the Germans were firing with his body. Both of these men fought in the Red Army, but one became a traitor, and the other a hero. It is also worth understanding that the definition of a feat, in a certain sense, is subjective. For example, in Russia, all people have different attitudes towards the 1917 revolution and Soviet power. Who were the people who carried out the revolution? Heroes who fought for the good of the people, or murderers who were misled by Soviet leaders? Everyone will have different answers because everyone has a different concept of good and evil.
Is a feat always of such a radical nature? Are heroic actions always associated with sacrificing one's health or life? Not at all. Small feats are accomplished every day. They are carried out, for example, by volunteers. Of course, they do not sacrifice their own lives, but they help people for free, giving their time and energy. Nobody wants to waste their time just like that, without any benefit for themselves. This is the small feat of people who help others for free - they think first of all about those around them, without demanding anything in return.
Thus, a feat is a selfless act committed for the benefit of others, in difficult and dangerous conditions. Ideas about feat may differ, but the general concepts are similar for almost all people. A feat does not always mean sacrificing your own health or life. Small deeds are performed every day by people who help others for free, be it cleaning the streets, taking care of the environment, or helping disabled people. Therefore, anyone can become a kind of hero if they simply are not indifferent to what is happening around them.
