Basically, the preparation process consists in the fact that nutrients from the leaves gradually move to the branches, then to the trunk and root, where they remain during the winter cold. Plants release specific substances, phytoncides, into the air, which are destructive to pathogenic bacteria and are the first important step in the trophic food chain.
