Spoiled by life and society, indifferent to absolutely everything, Eugene Onegin values exclusively his personal freedom and self-esteem. This is how he appears before Tatyana and Olga. Eugene perceived the sisters as primitive and greedy girls, caring only about a possible successful marriage. But only a few years will pass and this narcissistic, ardent womanizer will know the feeling that is so often sung by poets.
Tatyana gained Eugene's attention thanks to her mystery and spirituality. He noticed her immediately, but nothing more. But Tatiana’s letter made his soul, incapable of deep emotions, fall in love with this young girl. Feeling a sudden excitement: “Perhaps the old ardor of feelings took possession of him for a minute,” Onegin consciously rejects the heartfelt experiences that unexpectedly approached him. He, having decided that he was completely unsuitable for Tatyana, and she for him, chose to live by cold calculation and simply leave.
The work is silent on the details of the hero's journey, but he returns as a greatly changed man. The reader can only guess and speculate about the reasons that forced Onegin to “remove the shackles from his heart.” Now he is able to experience, love and suffer. And evil fate brings him together with Tatyana again. Frantically counting the minutes until the long-awaited meeting with Tatyana, Evgeniy experiences those feelings that are so familiar to all lovers.
With every word and action, Onegin strives to gain Tatyana's attention. But all her feelings have long been safely hidden, now she has “chained her heart.” His beloved Tanya became completely different. But Eugene still continues to see in her that village girl who grew up reading French novels and living a dream of pure love. He knew her in a way that no one else around her knew. The hero hopes that today’s Tatyana is simply forced to hide her true face under a mask.
At the beginning of the work, Tatyana saw in Onegin all the best aspects of human essence glorified by poets. She selflessly fell in love with the image created by the writers. Living a dream and believing in a happy ending to an exciting novel, Tatiana is suddenly forced to realize the difference between the imaginary and real worlds. The hero of her dreams turned out to be far from what she valued so much. Trying to understand the motives of Evgeniy’s actions, Tatyana visits his house. Having learned the secret sides of the life of her loved one, she is just beginning to comprehend his actions. But suddenly Onegin leaves, and she is forced to get married and go to St. Petersburg.
Marriage turns the whole life of a naive girl upside down. In the big city, her provincial views do not meet with approval. She puts on a mask, hides her true affections and becomes a model of external nobility and sophistication. Perhaps Tanya is not trying to finally “bury” her past, her true personality. Circumstances simply force her to behave this way. Tatyana, brought up in the strict traditions of the nobility, is unable to break the bonds of marriage and is forced to surrender to the will of fate and live in a world filled with lies.

Eugene Onegin
A typical representative of Russian youth is Evgeny Onegin, who does not value or recognize a person’s feelings, recognizes only money, status and position in society. Submitting to social laws, young people evaluate relationships as a profitable or unprofitable match.
Well-developed artistry and acting in every fake relationship produces results. Both girls and young people can no longer live without this integral part of life. Likewise, Evgeny Onegin, with his acting, he can introduce a feeling of jealousy, suffering, and passion for this young lady.
Notably tired of false love, Evgeny leaves the capital - St. Petersburg. He is no longer interested in social intrigue, constant flirting with girls whose faces change at every social event. A young man leaves the capital with the thought that real feelings, like true love, do not exist. And young Evgeniy will be able to live without her.
Tatyana Larina
A young girl who sincerely believes in feelings and is waiting for her betrothed. Having read a huge number of novels about love, she really wants to experience all the emotions that poets wrote so eloquently about. She is ready to completely immerse herself in a relationship, but does not find a single suitable candidate.
After meeting Evgeniy and confessing his feelings, he learns a terrible lesson for the girl. The young man refuses Tatiana and advises her to be more restrained in her desires.
Having failed in her relationship with Onegin, she stops believing in love. But at the same time she continues to quietly love him. A young girl will be absolutely faithful to her husband, never knowing happiness with a man who also sincerely loves her.
After reading the work “Eugene Onegin” you can be sure that every person will find his love. The only question is how these feelings will affect each of these people. For some, love “inspires” and forces them to become better, while others, having once received an injury, completely change their attitude towards feelings.

Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin wrote his famous work in 1823-1830. As with all works of classical literature, the novel raises very important themes. One of them is the theme of love and relationships between a man and a woman. The main characters of the work are Evgeny Onegin and Tatyana Larina, whose relationships are ambiguous and multifaceted.
What is love? Everyone will answer this question in their own way. Love in the works of Alexander Sergeevich is not always presented in its usual form. In the novel Eugene Onegin, the development of the relationship between the two main characters is the main plot line. The spark between them arose from the very first meeting, and it is impossible not to notice. Tatyana and Evgeniy have a lot in common: they are smart, well-read, their actions differ from the actions of others. Of course, there were differences between Evgeny and Tatyana. Evgeniy is very charming. He easily finds language with the opposite sex and often powders the hair of girls. He cannot be called reliable, because the young man is not ready for a family. Tatyana, in turn, was very well-read, books replaced reality for her. She does not communicate with people for her own benefit; she is ready to make any sacrifice for the sake of her loved one. Probably because of such differences, the love of a girl and a boy was tragic and had no future.
Tatyana fell in love with the young man because, according to the poet, the time had come for her to love. He conquered her with his charm and charm. Onegin was afraid of Tatyana's real feelings, because he was used to the fact that there is a lot of falsehood and deception in high society. Tatyana writes him a letter where she confesses her feelings. Evgeny, in turn, does not feel anything for the girl, so he has to reject her.
Only when they meet a few years later, that same feeling appears in Onegin’s heart. Tatyana was no longer a naive girl from the village, she became a social princess, which attracts the young man. Tatyana has loved Evgeniy all this time, but she has a husband, so she rejects Evgeniy. The young people changed places, Evgeniy did not receive an answer to his feelings, he remains in a state of moral shock.
After reading Pushkin's work, everyone can learn a lesson for themselves. Love does not always bring happiness; most often it disappoints. The life paths of Tatiana and Evgeniy were divorced; they had no chance for happiness. They could have been together, but realized their feelings too late.

The theme of love is one of the leading ones in the novel by A.S. Pushkin "Eugene Onegin". It is the ability to sincerely and devotedly love that the author “measures” human nature and the level of development of his heroes. Pushkin himself believed that love is the meaning of existence; only by loving can a person fully reveal all his capabilities and experience life to the end. The main character of the novel is the young nobleman Eugene Onegin. One of the main questions of the work is whether Onegin knows how to love? The reader thinks about this throughout the novel. It seems to me that in order to answer this question, it is worth turning to the description of the hero’s upbringing and lifestyle. From a very young age, Onegin was part of the high society of St. Petersburg. All that the hero could learn there was the art of lies and hypocrisy: How early he could be a hypocrite, To harbor hope, to be jealous, To dissuade, to force to believe, To seem gloomy, to languish... The high society of St. Petersburg is completely unpretentious. It values only the superficial ability to make a pleasant impression. No one is going to look deeper. I think in such a society it is easy for superficial people to shine. Constant romances, intrigues, flirting - these are the main entertainments in this society. Naturally, Onegin perfectly mastered the “art of tender passion.” But there is not a drop of sincerity in this relationship. Evgeniy quickly became disillusioned with life and his surroundings. He lost interest in everything around him. After some time, Onegin left for the village. For only a few days he was interested in simple village life. But then the hero became bored again. It was during such a “spiritual coldness” that Evgeny Onegin met Tatyana. The young girl instantly fell in love with the capital's dandy. She, unlike Onegin, knew how to love strongly and sincerely, giving herself entirely to this feeling. Confirmation of this is the confession that the heroine first wrote to Onegin: I know that you were sent to me by God, You are my keeper until the grave... You appeared in my dreams, Invisible, you were already dear to me... But Onegin was sure that no one would be able to excite him for a long time. Onegin does not reciprocate the heroine's feelings, giving her a rebuke. Having survived this refusal, Tatyana, without love, marries someone else. Onegin, after the murder of Lensky, he wandered for some time, moved away from high society, and changed greatly. Everything superficial is gone, only a deep, ambiguous personality remains. A few years later, Evgeniy meets Tatyana again. Now she is a married woman, a socialite. But we understand that the heroine still loves Onegin: I love you (why lie?), But I was given to someone else; I will be faithful to him forever. And the changed hero is now able to love and suffer, but it’s too late - Tatyana refuses him, remaining faithful to her husband. Thus, Pushkin’s heroes came to the end of the work as truly loving people. This is not surprising, because the Author himself considers love to be the most important feeling in a person’s life: “And the mighty life gives And lush flowers and sweet fruit.” The ability to love is the main criterion in assessing literary heroes and people for Pushkin.

The main character of the work by A.S. Pushkin is young. an attractive, very intelligent man, a nobleman. Pushkin treats his hero with sympathy and a significant amount of irony. In chapter 1, the poet talks about the life of the young rake Eugene Onegin in St. Petersburg. About how and by whom he was raised:
At first Madame followed him, Then Monsieur replaced her, The child was harsh, but sweet.
In his youth, he behaved exactly like the young people of his circle, that is, “he could speak and write perfectly in French, and danced the mazurka easily.” But his main science, Pushkin admits, “was the science of tender passion.” As we later learn, Evgeniy fell a victim of love. Pushkin emphasizes that “he was sick of persistent work.” He talks about Onegin’s life, spent in restaurants, theaters, balls, and courting women. Thousands of young nobles lived the same life. This way of life was familiar to the noble class. But one should not rush to conclusions, defining Onegin as “superfluous”. For his circle, he was not superfluous. Onegin occupied a certain place in secular society, where he had a “happy talent” and aroused “the smile of ladies with the fire of unexpected epigrams.” This is how his life would have proceeded smoothly, if not for his meeting with Tatyana Larina. Onegin lets Tatyana fall in love with him and torments and torments her for a long time. Tatyana writes a letter to Evgeny with a declaration of love. The girl asks him a question: “Who are you...A guardian angel or an insidious tempter?” Seemingly incapable of serious feelings, Onegin rejects her love, which for Tatyana becomes the meaning of life. A dreamy, romantic girl “believes that Eugene was sent by God.”
Onegin is touched by Tatyana's confession, but nothing more. The next thoughtless step is the relationship with Olga Lbina. Onegin just out of boredom begins to court Olga Larina, the fiancée of Vladimir Lensky. The girl becomes interested in Evgeniy, which naturally makes Lensky jealous. The turning point in the relationship with the girls was Evgeniy’s duel with Lensky. The fight ends tragically for Vladimir. And here our hero seems to see the light: “Onegin with a shudder” sees the work of his hands, how the “icy corpse” of the young men is being carried in a sleigh. Lensky was killed by a “friend’s hand.” The meaninglessness of this act becomes obvious. And what about Tatyana? She silently supports her sister in grief. However, Olga “didn’t cry for long,” but became carried away by a certain uhlan, with whom she soon went down the aisle.
Tatyana's love for Evgeniy and her dislike for him as Lensky's killer are fighting. The girl suddenly begins to understand that Evgeniy is not the person she imagined him to be in her dreams. A flighty egoist, a heartthrob, a person who brings pain and tears to others, but is himself incapable of compassion. Returning to St. Petersburg, Evgeny meets a different Tatiana - a secular woman, a “trendsetter.” He will know; that she is now married to an important general, a hero of the Patriotic War. An amazing transformation takes place. Now Evgeniy is looking for a date with Tatyana Larina, who has become “an indifferent princess, an unapproachable goddess,” and is languishing and suffering. Yes, Tatyana stopped looking like a provincial noblewoman. How much royalty in the gaze! How much majesty and negligence! Evgeny is in love, he pursues her, looking for a reciprocal feeling.
But, alas! A letter was written, but Evgeniy did not receive an answer to it. And then, finally, they met. What a blow, what a disappointment! Onegin is rejected: “I ask you to leave me.” “As if struck by thunder,” Evgeniy stands and suddenly feels inner devastation, his uselessness. This is a fitting ending to the novel. A.S. Pushkin tested his hero with a true feeling - love. But, alas, the main character of the novel could not stand this test: he got scared and retreated. When the epiphany came, it turned out that it was too late, nothing could be returned or corrected. Thus, the novel “Eugene Onegin” is not just a story about an era in which “the century and modern man are reflected,” but also a touching story of failed, missed love.
